Opening Times & Prices

From Monday 9th March 2026 to Sunday 8th November 2026 our opening hours are:
Open daily from 10am with last entry at 4.30pm
From Monday 9th November 2026 to Sunday 14th March 2027 we will be on Winter Hours – which are:
Closed Mondays – Tuesday – Sunday open from 10.30am with last entry at 2.30pm

ADMISSION CHARGES

Adults: £10.00 | Children (under 16): £6.00 | Family (2 adults, 3 children): £30.00
Children Under 5: Free

Gift Aid
Visitors who can kindly gift aid their admission to the museum will receive one year’s membership with free admission as a thank you.

Group Bookings

Groups over 10 must pre book tickets to The Ruskin Museum, discounted rates are available and can be bought with or without coach parking, at The Bluebird Car and Coach Park website.

Drivers and Tour Guides go free.

Guide Dogs and Service Dogs

To ensure a safe and comfortable environment for all our guests, dogs and other pets are not permitted inside the Museum, even if they are in a pram or are being carried.

 Some visitors have allergies or fears related to dogs and we want to ensure that all visitors have an enjoyable experience when visiting us.

Pre-Booking

We don’t have the facility to pre-book. You are able to buy tickets on the day of your visit. In busy periods there may be a short wait to be admitted

 

Disabled Access

The main Museum is all on ground level with wide aisles, there is no problem using a mobility scooter or wheelchair. We do have a lift which can be used when there is an exhibition on the first floor. Please ask at the front desk.

Parking

Pay and Display parking for cars and minibuses is available at The Bluebird Car and Coach Park, located next door to the Museum and with direct, level pedestrian access to the Museum’s entrance. The entrance to the Bluebird Car Park is via Yewdale Road, Coniston LA21 8DU  https://www.conistonparking.co.uk/

 

There is also parking at the LDNPA Car Park on Ruskin Avenue – Postcode LA21 8EH, at The Sports and Social Club – Postcode LA21 8AL – both are a 5 minute walk from the Museum.

Or in holiday times at John Ruskin School – Postcode LA21 8EW

 

Coaches 

Bookable coach parking is also available at The Bluebird Car and Coach Park.
