We are getting a few enquiries about K7’s whereabouts for the coming year. Below is an update
Bluebird K7 is on display every day in the Museum from 10am until 4.30pm until 5th November 2025.
After the 5th November she will be going back down to St Athan to ensure everything is in order for her running on Coniston Water in 2026. We do not have a confirmed date for her return as yet but we hope it to be in March 2026.
At present we do not have confirmed dates for running in 2026, we have to apply for the speed exemption to run on the Lake and to do this we need to submit a plan to LDNPA which includes a traffic management, crowd control and a water safety plan.
We are putting all this information together now and once we have it we will submit the application to LDNPA, this application will then go forward to the consultation stage and only then, once it is approved will dates be confirmed.
Bluebird K7 is on display every day at the Museum with the exception of 23rd July 2025, when she will be on display at Glenridding Pier in the car park of the Ullswater Steamers, she will NOT be on the water.
This event is to commemorate 70 years since Donald Campbell’s first World Water Speed Record on Ullswater. This is a free event and you do not need to book. K7 will be on display to everyone from 9am until 3pm on the 23rd July.
