Description
The death of Donald Campbell on Coniston Water in 1967 brought to an end an association with Coniston village spanning almost thirty years. This booklet does not pretend to give full biographical information about Sir Malcolm and Donald Campbell, nor to give technical details of their water-borne Bluebirds, but rather to tell the story of their endeavours as it was witnessed and shared by the people who lived here.
